ADVISORY NOTICE TO ALL HIGH PERFORMANCE & NATIONAL PLAYERS

Cricket Canada has become aware of a cricket tournament being publicly promoted under the title *”Ontario Open T20″, which is represented as an event organized by the Brampton Etobicoke District Cricket League (BEDCL).

Cricket Canada wishes to clarify that this tournament *has not been sanctioned, approved, or recognized by Cricket Canada* and does not form part of Cricket Canada’s sanctioned domestic competition structure or High-Performance pathway.

Accordingly, all players who are currently part of Cricket Canada’s High-Performance Program, National Teams, National Training Squads, Emerging Player Program, or any other Cricket Canada High-Performance pathway *are not authorized to participate* in this tournament.

This advisory is issued to ensure compliance with Cricket Canada’s High-Performance Policy, Player Pathway Policy, and Sanctioning Policy, all of which govern player participation in non-sanctioned events. Participation in unauthorized competitions may be considered a breach of Cricket Canada policies and may have implications for a player’s eligibility, selection, and standing within Cricket Canada’s High-Performance programs.

All players are expected to adhere to Cricket Canada’s policies and seek clarification from the High-Performance Department should they have any questions regarding participation in external competitions.

Cricket Canada appreciates the continued cooperation of all players in maintaining the integrity of the national High-Performance system.
