Nitish stars as Canada beat Qatar


A brilliant all round performance by Nitish Kumar took Canada to a third successive win at  the CWC Challenge Group A tournament in Malaysia, beating previously unbeaten Qatar by 115 runs. Kumar followed up an excellent 129 with 5 wickets.
Canada batted first, and put up another big total. Thomas (51) and Dhaliwal (38) got them off to a solid start then twin centuries from Nitish Kumar (129 from 84 balls) and Srimantha Wijeyeratne (112) took them to 379/4 from their 50 overs.

Qatar  put up a good fight with an opening stand of 149 and were in with a chance after 25 overs. Saad Bin Zafar broke the stand in the 26th over and Kumar took the next five wickets, ending with 5/72 as Qatar were bowled out for 264.

Canada's next match is against Singapore on Wednesday.
