Canada U19s qualify for World Cup by beating USA

Cricket fans across the world had their eyes on Lord's for a thrilling World Cup final, but those in Canada were also  looking towards King City, where the Canadian Under 19 team beat the USA by 5 wickets, thereby qualifying for the Under 19 World Cup to be held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020. Both teams had cruised through the tournament so far, with one sided wins over Bermuda, Caymans and Argentina. USA batted first, and a fine bowling performance from Canada dismissed the US for just 112 in 32.4 overs. All five of those who bowled took wickets. Canada lost five wickets, but passed their total with 38 overs to spare.

Congratulations to the team, coaches and support staff on achieving their goal!
