On the second day of the Eastern T20, the Quebec bowlers took them to 2 and 0 with a 96 run win over Newfoundland and Labrador. They had been bowled out for a below par 138, but Gayan Malinga took 4 for 9 and Shahab Zamir as Newfoundland were bowled out for just 42.
In the second game of the day, Nova Scotia bounced back from two first-day losses by beating PEI by 8 wickets. They restricted PEI to 122, and thanks to half centuries from Neel Patel and Amit Joshi, passed the target inside 10 overs.
In the afternoon, Quebec assured themselves of a place in the final by beating New Brunswick by 118 runs, Shreyas Movva making an unbeaten century, and Shahab Zamir taking 4/9.
Nova Scotia completed a great comeback after losing their first two matches to give themselves a chance of the final by beating Newfoundland and Labrador by 8 wickets.
Nova Scotia are on four points with a positive net run rate; on the final day, New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador all have the chance to reach four points as well but will need big wins to pass them on net run rate.
Cricket Canada president Ranjit Saini was present for the day, and handed out man of the match awards for the games completed to date.
