Provisional Umpire (CC Level 1)

(1) Canadian Resident.

Intermediate Umpire (CC Level 2)

(1) Age of majority.

(2) Canadian Resident.

(3) Copy of Provisional Umpire (CC Level 1) certificate OR Copy of Level 1 certificate from full member countries.

Qualified Umpire (CC Level 3)

Eligibility criteria:

1. Age of majority/ Canadian Resident.

2. Copy of Intermediate Umpire (CC Level 2) certificate.

3. Proof of the last four years of umpiring records.

4. Please note that minimum 7 higher division games in a season for last three years is required

5. A recommendation letter from the local umpiring association or the league is required.

   (1) Fully qualified umpires from full member countries are required to pass Cricket Canada Qualified Umpire exam.
   (2) Partially qualified Umpires from full member countries are required to writ Intermediate Umpire exam of Cricket Canada.

   (3) For qualified umpires or partially qualified umpires from countries other than full member countries, Cricket Canada National Committee for Umpires will decide based on their qualifications and experience.

   Passing Criteria:

6. Written exam (Passing marks is 80%)

7. On field assessment (appointed by Cricket Canada assessors)

8. Viva (by team consist of Vice Chairman of Committee, Examiner and Assessor)

   Please note that certificate will be issued after successfully passing all above-mentioned criteria.

   *Note:
   If candidate is inactive for more than 3/6 years, then –

9. Refresher Course by Cricket Canada is required, inactive for 3 to 5 years.

10. Candidate has to rewrite the exam, if candidate is inactive for 6 or more years.

    General Rules for all Levels

11. Government Issued Photo ID is required.

12. Use of ONLY blue or black colored ballpoint pen is allowed.

13. Use of Cell Phone, Smart Watch or any hand-held device is NOT allowed.

14. Participant has to use their own standard calculator. Scientific calculator is NOT allowed.

15. Participants registered for Level 2 & Level 3 will be provided D/L worksheet and D/L resource chart.

     

    Examination papers are property of Cricket Canada and taking a copy, picture, recording anyhow or sharing is strictly prohibited.
