Cricket Canada Appoints Ingleton Liburd as National Head Coach

Toronto, ON – [Aug 14, 2025] – Cricket Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of

Ingleton Liburd as the National Head Coach for a two-year term.

Liburd, a respected figure in Canadian cricket, brings extensive experience and expertise to the

role. His leadership is expected to further enhance Cricket Canada’s national program and

contribute to the continued growth and success of the men’s national team.

Cricket Canada President Amjad Bajwa expressed his confidence in the appointment, stating:

“Ingleton is a great asset to Cricket Canada. His experience and expertise will help our national

team elevate its performance and strengthen our national cricket program. We look forward to

working with him to achieve our strategic goals for the sport in Canada.”

Ingleton Liburd shared his vision for the role:

“I am dedicated to taking the national team to the next level. I understand the talent we have and

will work closely with the players to drive progress for our national team. With the next T20

World Cup ahead of us and our WCL2 home tri-series just around the corner, I am confident that

Canada will give its 100%.”

Liburd’s tenure begins immediately, with preparations already underway for the upcoming

international fixtures.
