Competition Introduction:
In the second phase, coaches undergo Level 1 coaching training accredited by the ICC. The NCCP framework is applied as they design and deliver basic cricket training sessions, incorporating new techniques and strategic aspects of the sport. Assessment of this stage is multi-faceted, including completion of the MED online examination, the development of a reflective coaching portfolio, and observation of the practice sessions by designated evaluators.
Competition Development:
At this pivotal Level 2 stage, the ICC training intensifies, aligning with the NCCP’s comprehensive coaching development approach. Participants are expected to expand their coaching repertoire by planning detailed sport programs, resolving conflicts, advocating for clean sport, and applying sport psychology to enhance performance. Effectiveness in coaching is underscored, with a focus on injury prevention, athlete rehabilitation, and the development of athletic prowess. Assessment criteria include the MED online exam, conflict management, promotion of doping-free sport, along with the compilation of an advanced coaching portfolio and evaluative observations of training and competitions.
Competition Development Advanced/High Performance:
The culmination of the NCCP certification process is the advanced/high-performance stage, which integrates advanced coaching diploma components and mentorship opportunities. This stage’s comprehensive evaluation criteria, to be specified by the NCCP, will include assessments based on the MED and the Advanced Coaching Diploma. The detailed evaluative process for this stage will be announced following its finalization by the NCCP.
