CRICKET CANADA SCORED 311 RUNS BEFORE RAIN WASHES OUT THE THIRD PRACTICE MATCH.

It was another good practice match for the batsman of Cricket Canada Senior Men’s squad, currently training in Sri Lanka, as they managed to score a massive 311 runs at the loss of only 3 wickets against Old Dharmapaliyan Team.

Nitish (123) and Bhavindu (105) both getting vital centuries were the key contributors to the overall score, leading Canada to a strong total.

Canada’s opening bowlers started well bowling 7 overs and taking a wicket in that short spell, before rain arrived and play was not possible, resulting in a washout. Only two bowlers getting a chance to bowl Mark Monfort and Dilon Heyliger as if not for rain would have been great practice for our bowlers to defend a large total. The match was played at the Army Ground in Dobagoda, Srilanka.

Cricket Canada Senior Men’s squad under the guidance of coach Monty Desai seem to be improving each day in their performance. The vision is clear of not just winning the ICC WCL Div. 2 Qualifiers but to continue its pathway to become one of the strongest teams within the Associates world.
