It was an action filled weekend at CricketFest, 2018. Canada-A development Team finally had a good win against the robust Toronto Bears, winning by 13 runs. It was a treat for Cricket fans who witness the young budding cricketers at the King City grounds as well as via live online Streaming on CBC Sports all across Canada.
Canada-A development team won the toss and elected to bat, setting a big target of 199 runs with a loss of 6 wickets. Abraash Khan’s attacking innings at the start where he made 94 runs in 52 Balls gave team the winning edge. Lower order batsman particularly Ravinderpal Singh followed Abraash’s good start and scored a quick 29 runs on 13 balls.
This was always going to be a tough ask chasing 200 for Toronto Bears against Canada A’s tight fielding and strong bowling attack, but with Sukhdeep Brar taking 3 wickets, made it even more difficult for Bears to chase the massive target.
