Buoyant Toronto Bears carry on the winning momentum !

The Labour Day long weekend started with a bang with Toronto Bears defeating Canada Men’s Senior National Team by 11 runs. Left hand Batsman Rodrigo Thomas scored 78 runs on 56 Balls. Cricket Canada’s senior men’s team Bowler Dilon Heyliger gave a tough fight to the Bears with his amazing 5 wicket haul.
The overall performance of bears, with exceptional fielding and bowling, was phenomenal in the match against the National Team. Raj Nannan and Ryan Nurse took 2 wickets each followed by Richard Harris and Teddy LeFleur taking 1 wicket each.
The second match of the day was disappointing for Canada-A team as they lost against West Indies by 9 wickets with 5.3 overs remaining. Batsman Ravinderpal Singh made an amazing 57 runs on 45 balls. The team is still in high spirits despite the loss, as they compete tomorrow with the senior Men’s team. It is going to be a power packed performance with high adrenaline in the two matches tomorrow.
